TRIGGERING TONIGHT!!

The Dr. just called and my E2 is 1815. He said on paper everything is perfect. (I told my husband atleast I'm perfect "on paper"!) I trigger with Ovidrel tonight at 9pm, and the nurse will call me tomorrow to go over the instructions with me to prepare for retrieval Tuesday morning. She will also tell me what time to report.

So, keep your fingers and toes crossed and send lots of positive energy into the universe with my name on it!

Almost there...

My E2 Friday was 1347. The RE seems to think we will get somewhere around 10 eggs. I added the Ganirelix injection Friday evening, as well as upping my Menopur to 2 vials. So, 2 Bravelle, 2 Menopur, 1 Ganirelix.

I also went this morning for bloodwork and ultrasound and my E2 was 1445. (The Dr. said that when you add the Ganirelix that the E2 doesn't rise much.) I will continue with 2 Bravelle, 2 Menopur, 1 Ganirelix tonight. Then back tomorrow morning at 8:20am to check on things. As of today, the follicles that we measured are as follows: L - 20.8, 17.4, 12.4, 13.7, 11.5; R - 21.0, 19.9, 16.2, 16.2. I will use the Ovidrel trigger injection tomorrow night. My egg retrieval will be Tuesday, with embryo transfer scheduled for Friday.

I'm surprisingly calm about it all. And excited. This time next week, I will have two embryos inside my uterus! I will be PUPO - pregnant until proven otherwise!

E2 = 635

After 5 days of stims, my E2 was 635, and I had 7+ measurable follicles, and several smaller in my supporting cast that have the potential to catch up! All in all, things are looking good! I return Friday morning for more bloodwork and another ultrasound. I will continue with my same dose tonight and tomorrow night. I have not added the Ganirelix yet.

In other (really gross, too much information) news, I had to contact my OBGYN to have them switch my prenatal vitamin to a new one. The current one is a gelcap, and my body is not absorbing it. At all. As evidenced by the fact that it is floating in the toilet every morning (I told you it was really gross). So, we are going to try a new kind that is not a gelcap. The pharmacy didn't have it in stock, so I will pick it up tomorrow.

After another long day, I'm ready to eat dinner and head to bed!

1st IVF ultrasound tomorrow!

My first ultrasound for my IVF cycle is tomorrow morning! They are also testing my thyroid levels to make sure they are OK right now as they haven't been tested since June. I was scheduled to have them tested in February, but thought it might be a good idea to do so now. That way, if necessary, they can adjust my meds before my ET next week! I just don't want my levels off as I've read they can cause miscarriages and/or birth defects.

I'm tired and ready for bed. I'm not above going to bed at 8pm!!

Where is everyone?

Where are all my blogging friends? NO ONE has updated today! I'm having withdrawal! Somebody, please update your blog!

Instructions...

Dr. Sullivan himself just called me to tell me things look good so far on paper. My E2 went from 21 at my baseline to 340 this morning. I am to cut back my Bravelle to 2 vials (150 units) and maintain 1 vial of Menopur (75 units). I will do this tonight and tomorrow night and return at 7:15am Wednesday for bloodwork and an ultrasound. I will have my first ultrasound with an IVF nurse, as the doctor is at the hospital that morning and wouldn't have been able to see me until 9am. Being that Wednesday is my second day back to work after this break, I worry about needing time off for an appointment. Each ultrasound after this one will be with the doctor. I will just have to make it work from here on out. Hopefully, with the weekend mixed in there, it won't be such an ordeal in regards to my work schedule.

I listened to my IVF relaxation/visualization track last night for cycle day 3. It really does help me relax. I look forward to continuing use of the Circle and Bloom IVF program throughout this cycle.

The Anatomy of Hope...

Positively Positive

I went for bloodwork this morning after three nights of injections. Can't wait to hear from the nurse this afternoon with my instructions. I will update later...
